Let’s just put it out there right from the start: Agentforce Nonprofit (fka Nonprofit Cloud) can feel extremely complicated, especially compared to the previous Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) or a non-industry cloud like Sales Cloud. The reasons for this include:  

• AFNP comes with a lot of enhanced targeted functionality for fundraising, program, and case managment plus new features like outcome management that was not availalbe in previous nonprofit-focused Salesforce offerings.

• Moving to an industry-based cloud model in Salesforce allows objects from other clouds to be added to AFNP much more often, making ongoing setup tasks and release management important functions for system administrators.

• A key part of Agentforce Nonprofit is the opportunity to use industry common features as a way to extend functionality for your end users, which bring new options and extra complication in equal measure.

• Nonprofits are doing much more complex work - and expect a lot more from their CRMs - then they did when NPSP was first released.

And so, while we set out to create “just” a study guide for the Nonprofit Cloud Consutlant exam, we’ve covered WAY more than you need to know for that - and that’s a good thing! Passing a Salesforce exam and working with a Saleforce product are two different things and we know you’re actually doing both (just like us!) so we wanted to reflect the full breadth of knowledge out there in one place. We do note where there are differences between the exam and how something could (or should) be implemented, like Care Barriers in Case Managment and the Individual Application vs. Application Form options in Grantmaking. Watch for more updates as Agentforce Nonprofit and the exam evolve.
